On February 24th 2022, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Bank of China (BOC) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held at Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Gu Feng, Executive Deputy Party Secretary of SJTU, Xi Lifeng, member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of SJTU, Wang Guangyan, Director of Financial and Planning Office, Jiang Xinghao, Director of Office of Asset Management and Laboratory, Guan Haibing, Director of Network and Information Center, Chen Fangruo, Dean of ACEM, Jiang Wenning, Party Secretary of ACEM, and Liu Shaoxuan, Associate Dean of ACEM, as well as Zhang Shouchuan, Party Secretary and General Manager of BOC Shanghai Branch, Yang Yimin, Party Secretary of BOC Shanghai College of International Finance, Xing Guiwei, Chairman of BOC Financial Technology Co., Ltd., and Yang Jun, Senior Account Manager of BOC Shanghai Branch attended the signing ceremony. The signing ceremony was presided over by Liu Shaoxuan.

In order to actively engage in the national innovation system, promote the cultivation of high-level inter-disciplinary talents by means of industry-education integration, and provide due support for building China's strength in science and technology, the School of Technological Finance is established by ACEM with the aim of building it into an important platform and frontier for cultivating technology transfer professionals and facilitating the application of research findings in science and technology, thus boosting the sound and rapid economic development of China.

Both SJTU, a 120-year university and BOC, a 100-year major bank, share the common mission and responsibility to serve the country's strategic growth and have always maintained sound partnership. This in-depth and diversified cooperation is made by both parties via SJTU-BOC School of Technological Finance. It is expected that with the vision to "build the world's top-tier Technological Finance School leading the future", both parties will take this opportunity to join hands in exploring more new pathways and patterns of collaboration between the bank and the university so that we can give impetus to talent cultivation, academic innovation and transformation of achievements, and contribute to building SJTU into a world-class university with Chinese characteristics as well as promoting the deeper integration and high-quality development of higher education and the financial industry.
