We launched the Industry Community Classes Program (ICCP) to conduct interdisciplinary, industry-specific research, and to solve practical problems existing within those industries.
We have partnered with the Shanghai government to create an entrepreneurship fund for our MBA students. Each partner has contributed RMB10 million, for a total fund totaling RMB20 million (about US$3.14 million) and the fund invests about RMB300 – 500 thousand (about US$45,000 - $75,000) per promising startup.
The founders can buy out the partners’ equity stake, at the original valuation, within three years. In addition, we also provide offices and administration services at the SJTU technology park for those startups.
Up to now, the MBA Entrepreneurship Fund had invested a total of RMB 33.6 million (about US$5.3 million) in 98 startups. Among these, 16 companies have received follow-on investment from VCs (more than RMB 300 million, or about US$47 million).
Antai alumni who have graduated within the most recent eight years are eligible to apply for the fund.
